Heaven’s Words, Dictionary, and Encyclopedia
Compared to every other book of the New Testament, the Book of John is written in the simplest Greek vocabulary and grammar, bar none. Notwithstanding this, Apostle John transports the reader far back into the past. No, farther back than that. Still not there yet. Try prior to the natural creation of Genesis 1-2.

The very opening verses of John’s Gospel account find us in eternity before anything at all existed, anything, that is, except God Himself. At that “time” (when there was no "time”), two Persons were. They were God and the Word, and the Word is simultaneously God. It’s hard enough to define “God”. Now we are required to define “the Word”. Told you Apostle John feeds us solid meat for adults.

The Word then became flesh and dwelt on earth with man. Wow! That just transported us from eternity when only God exists, to Israel in the 1st Century A.D. Beam us up, Scotty!
